Right Degree, Wrong Job

Before he walks out of his South Shore home, John Whitehead said he often glances at his framed bachelor's degree setting on the mantle. "It was a big thing in my family to graduate from college," Whitehouse, 34, said of the speech and communications degree he earned from Chicago State nine years ago." It gives me a lift every time I look at it."
His goal was to become a journalist. He then turned his search to customer service-related positions and most recently, worked as a dispatcher for Niles-based company. But Whitehead was laid off in December. He was replaced by computers. There are people with grad degrees working at McDonald's.

In my opinion before going to take a degree. We need explore others fields and get some information how is the job.
