Newton plays sexaholic bartender Tangie in the film, which opens Friday and is Perry's re-imagination of what many consider an American treasure, Ntozake Shange's play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf."
Perry already has taken heat for adapting "Colored"--a choreopoem that speaks to different facets of the black female experience. But Newton says she and her co-stars, including Loretta Devine, Kerry Washington, Kimberly Elise, Phylicia Rashad and Whoopi Goldberg, guided Perry along the way--at his insistence.
"He was warm and he was clear [that] he needed us ladies to teach him what was what. He was open to us being the commanders of the drama," she said, adding that they have created a vision of which Shange can be proud.
RedEye chatted with Newton about working with Perry, her knowledge of the play and cussing out America's favorite mom.  But it's better to hear from Newton directly, care of a Q&A I conducted while she was in Chicago promoting the film.  I gave you a little taste of Thandie's remarks in today's paper, but there's more in store after the jump...
In my opinion, I think the people should are created equal! Because even if the skin is different but have the same personality!   So no matter what the skin of people should respect each other.

Ensuring Safe Eating

In U.S regulators are investigating salmonella in more than a half billion eggs. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said it still had not determined the cause of the outbreak but had found no evidence of a problem in two large Iowa egg producers. Wright County Egg and Hillandale Farms recalled 550 million eggs last week after they were linked to illnesses across the country. The FDA rule took effect requiriring large-scale producers to practice better safety and to test in the poultry house for salmonella bacteria.Over the last several years we have seen illnesses and deaths from eating cooking dough, peanut butter and spinach. The FDA in the business of preventing outbreaks, rather than trying to deal with them after people get sick.
My opinion is that in this decade nothing is safe to eat because in many food they found salmonella so, I think that we need to have more hygiene in everything and be careful in everything we eat.

Californians will decide Nov. 2 wether legalize recreational use of the drug. Proposition 19 would allow those 21 or older to possess as much as an ounce of marijuana and to grow it in spaces of 25 square feet or less. Although marijuana has been in use for years, voters will head to the polls with only a hazy understanding of its health effects.
In my opinion, marijuana should remain being illegal. Even though some say it's has many benefits I disagree. Marijuana is bas because it's addictive. If you use it once you will have to use it for the second and third time and so on, maybe even for the rest of your life.

Thar means  the 359,000 housegolds eligible for the city recycling service are without cart. Service hasn't been expanded due to budget constraints.
6.In my opinion, Environment is one of the factor to refelct how this city is. I think the Departement of  Environment should fix this problems immediately, even though Streets and Sanitation Commissioner said at the city's budget hearing Tuesday

The Fear Equation

The article tells about the reasons why people enjoy being scared. One woman has travelled to other states just to go to haunted houses. We enjoy being scared because of adrenaline rush in our bodies, and many people make money from making us frightened.

I am someone who does not enjoy being scared, and I will only watch a horror film from curiosity. The person who likes to feel fear I do not understand.
