Title: Wait for it, Chicago
By Tracy Swartz on 10.22.10
I read an artical which is talking about waiting in Chicago. At the beginning, the author give us a question " Is the City that Works also the City that Waits? ".The beer lines at fests or the brunch lines on Sundays give us the answer.
A lot of people consider that certain goodies are worth the wait. Some of them said that they didn't mind waiting about 10 minutes with friends for lunch. But any longer would have tested their patience. Also, some people like to go somewhere quick and straightforward when their children are hungry.
I think that people don't like lines but they will stand in them if they're curious about a new product or service and they don't know about the product's quality. However, people hate to wait in line for groceries and gasoline, because they know what they're getting, but they'll stand to wait for something they're interested in.
In my opinion, restaurants shouldn't let their lines get too long.Although the lines may attract tourists unfamiliar with the food, a long wait may frustrate longtime customers. If the weather is not good, they will feel even bad.
