1 Word for Facebook: Overrated

Facebook was once a smaller website where only students could join and meet each other. Now everyone is expected to have a Facebook account, and even companies and products have accounts. The article is saying that Facebook is not cool anymore because it is trying to sell things to people. The author says, "Now it's another job-hunting/networking tool that one must maintain like an e-mail account." He also shows that Facebook uses the things we say we like to sell products to us.

Facebook has been very useful to me. I have used it to find so many friends that I thought were lost forever, in Senegal and all over the world. For someone like me who uses Facebook in this way, I think there is no problem. I do not even look to the advertisements on the website because I do not care. Maybe Facebook was always going to become more commercial, but that does not mean that it is not a good thing.
