Emmanuel Beats Rivals To Become Next Chicago Major

Page#33.......................................................................................................... February 21, 2011--------------------------------------------------------------------- Carlos Garcia-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Emmanuel Beats Rivals To Become Next Chicago Major-----------------------Summary: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel was elected major of Chicago on Tuesday, easily overwelming five rivals to take the helm of the nation's third largest city as it prepares to chart a new course without the retiring Richard M. Daley. Emmanuel trounced all opponents with fifty five percent of the vote - a margin that allowed him to avoid an April runoff. He needed more that fifty percent to win out right. --------------------------------------------------------I believe the reason why Rahm Emmanuel won is because he has more money than all the rest of the candidates.
